Cyril Duclos obtained the equivalent of a baccalaureate in Cognitive Sciences (2000), neuroscience option and a master’s degree in physiology and biomechanics (2002). He obtained his doctorate in 2006, in co-supervision at the University of Provence, Aix-Marseille I (neuroscience) and at the University of Montreal (biomedical sciences, rehabilitation option). He then completed 3 years of post-doctoral training at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation (CRIR), at the Research Center of the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal, as well as at the Sobell department, Institute of Neurology, University College London for a few months. He is currently Associate Professor at the School of Rehabilitation of

Cyril Duclos is interested in the role of proprioceptive information in the control of movement and posture, as well as in balance control in order to develop new assessment and intervention methods for physical rehabilitation. It uses biomechanical techniques, functional brain imaging (fMRI) as well as mechanical vibrations as proprioceptive and tactile stimulation. He works with people with hemiparesis related to a stroke, spinal cord injury or amputation.
