Enrico is a Ph.D. candidate in the Rehabilitation Science Institute at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal, where he is co-supervised by Dr. Angela Colantonio and Dr. Bonnie Swaine. His undergraduate degree in education is from Concordia University and his graduate degree in adapted physical activity is from McGill University.

Enrico’s doctoral research revolves around a community-based physical activity (PA) program for adults with moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) that he established in partnership with the YMCAs of Quebec and Quebec TBI Association. His research is related to the mission and ontology of the BRILLIANT program because it developed, implemented, and examined the feasibility of a community-based PA intervention that improves mobility after brain injury, among many other psychosocial outcomes. This initiative is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and Sport Canada.

Enrico was a 2019 SSHRC Storyteller Winner and was honoured with the 2018 Changemaker Award by the Neurological Health Charities of Canada. In 2016, he raised over $10,000 for Brain Injury Canada through his participation in the Lake Placid Ironman. As a public speaker, Enrico has been advocating for brain injury awareness since 2008. He also teaches in the Applied Human Sciences Department at Concordia University.
